WRITERS / DIRECTORS

Sehaj Sethi  / writer-director  Sehaj is an Indian American screenwriter and alumna from the New York University Graduate Film Program. She recently worked as a staff writer on the CW showTwo Sentence Horror Stories as well as at Luma Pictures, where she worked on sci-fi feature projects.  Early in her writing career, she created a horror feature for Paperclip Ltd. headed by Yeardley Smith (The Simpsons). Two of her feature scripts are in development. One project is being produced by Ian Bryce (Saving Private Ryan, Almost Famous, Transformers) and the other by Jennifer Semler (The Favorite, Gloria Bell, Hostiles).

Harris Ansari  / writer-director  Harris is a writer, director, producer, and editor based in New York. Michael Das  / writer-director  Michael is a British born visual artist and animator living in New York. He is currently focusing on writing and directing after spending over a decade in post production and work spanning commercials, TV shows, experiential video and a number of web series.  Completing a degree in Computer Animation Michael has worked on several animated shorts, including his own experimental film ETERNAL DUST. Currently he is developing is first live action short film.

Hamza Zaman  / writer-director  Hamza Zaman is an award winning filmmaker, critically acclaimed playwright and actor. Best known for his award winning films "Blue Skies" and "Vemana" as well as numerous TV/film appearances and theatrical productions. Zaman's work mostly deals with social issues such as addiction, criminal justice and spirituality. His short "Love Comes Later" by Director Sonejuhi Sinha, was one of ten short films accepted to the 2015 Cannes Film Festival. “Currency”by Scott Gabriel is in the festival circuit. Kamran Khan  / writer-director  Kamran's passion for storytelling is a common thread through his writing, directing and award winning photography, which has been featured in Ron Howard's Project Imagination, the Hasselblad Masters Competition, and PDN Magazine's Digital Imaging Awards.  His scripts have placed in the American Zoetrope, Scriptapalooza, WorldFest Houston, and Screencraft script contests and the New Hope Film Festival.  Kamran is also a member of the NY State Bar where his passion for fictional storytelling is not as enthusiastically received.

He co-founded Kalakaars and programs for the New York Indian Film Festival and the Silk Screen Festival in Pittsburgh. When not watching or making films, he works as VP of Digital Products at AMC Networks bringing great drama from amc, Sundance TV, IFC, BBC America, to your mobile and living room devices. Lipica Shah  / actor  Lipica is a New York City-based actor-singer who thrives on collaborative work on stage and screen with a passion for helping develop new plays. She works consistently in theatre (in New York and regionally), voiceovers, and television. Favorite roles include simultaneously originating the title characters in  The Chronicles of Kalki  and  Shiv  as part of Aditi Kapil’s “The Displaced Hindu Gods Trilogy,” Priya in Rajiv Joseph’s  The Lake Effect , and understudying Jess in Martyna Majok’s  Cost of Living . She has a soft spot in her heart for sassy-on-the-verge-of-neurotic characters, really enjoys playing “the pretty little psychopath,” and would get a kick out of starring in a Sharktopus-esque sci-fi film someday. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, cooking (and the ensuing eating), doing crossword puzzles in pen, and running for inordinate amounts of time outdoors. Favorite roles include simultaneously originating the title characters in The Chronicles of Kalki and Shiv as part of Aditi Kapil’s “The Displaced Hindu Gods Trilogy,” Priya in Rajiv Joseph’s The Lake Effect, and understudying Jess in Martyna Majok’s Cost of Living. She has a soft spot in her heart for sassy-on-the-verge-of-neurotic characters, really enjoys playing “the pretty little psychopath,” and would get a kick out of starring in a Sharktopus-esque sci-fi film someday. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, cooking (and the ensuing eating), doing crossword puzzles in pen, and running for inordinate amounts of time outdoors. Proud member: AEA and SAG-AFTRA.
