Kalakars is an artists community. We’re supported by fellow artists who want to come along in this journey of community building and collective growth. Kalakars also conducts flagship WRITERS’ WORKSHOP and ACTORS’ WORKSHOP which are also great ways to become part of our community.

In 2020-2021, because of the pandemic, we took a hiatus to do some soul searching. It's been such a treat to hear and support all the stories and talent coming out of our workshops. But we've also heard your feedback and we know that we can do better in helping this community work for each other and work towards each others’ success.

This short break has rejuvenated us and we not only bring back our flagship programs in 2022, but stay tuned for bigger and better surprises from the Kalakars fold. Exciting coffee is brewing at Kalakars and we’re thinking of our structure and sustainability. Here’s a taste of what you can look forward to from us:

-a new focus on project execution, from script to screen

-a new workshop structure, with emphasis on feature script support

-new workshops for directors to practice their craft

-new opportunities for actors to stretch and grow

-new events and masterclasses for our whole community
